Our meditation furniture is manufactured with great care and traditional craftsmanship. Each piece is unique. Only the best pine and larch is used for our meditation furniture. The wood is carefully selected and is glued together in order to reduce the shrinkage to an absolute minimum. This prevents the fabric of the upholstered stools from going out of shape. We emphasize quality therefore all steps of the manufacturing process are carried out by hand. All edges of the meditation stools are rounded, the seats carefully sanded and finished.
We do not leave anything to chance. Therefore our care for superior quality extends also to the upholstery. The foam is of medium thickness and covered with fleece. Our "Velveton"-fabric is 100% cotton and of excellent quality.
After completion and a final quality check each of our foldable stools is given a patent reference code. The code is carved into the wood and serves as a certificate that the stool is a genuine product of our company. We strive to deliver the best possible standard of quality. Our stools are especially suitable for the kneeling ("Diamond") position.
The sloping seat tilts the pelvis slightly forward. This aids the abdominal respiration, which is crucial for deep relaxation. The stools support an upright position and give relief for the spine. This leads to an ergonomic and healthy sitting-posture.

Buckwheat husks - Buckwheat belongs to the polygonum species. It is a robust plant that grows in swamps and moors but is also cultivated in the Himalayas at an altitude of more than 4500 metres. Recently the cultivation of buckwheat is promoted in order to support the regeneration of the soil.
Our buckwheat-husk filled meditation cushions provide optimum sitting comfort by taking the shape of the body, thus distributing the weight evenly over the entire cushion. This again promotes a relaxed sitting posture.
Buckwheat husks have a generally calming effect. For centuries people in Far East have filled their pillows and cushions with them.
Kapok - For centuries kapok has been used in the manufacturing of meditation cushions.
Like cotton, kapok comes from a seed. Kapok grows naturally without the use of chemicals. Its fibres are odourless and covered by natural wax. This makes them resistant to sweat, dirt particles and fungus. Because they are 80% hollow, the fibres are lightweight and permeable to air.
Thanks to these qualities kapok-filled cushions are suitable for people with allergies, asthmatics and for people who feel the cold easily.
